Dear admin

I'm not trying to be a jerk here... just hoping to provide some constructive suggestions towards the improvements of this form. I'm sorry if any of this is offending in any way.
  • The layout of the forum is a little messy. The colour gradients, the many many boxes of everything scattered around just feels disorganised.
  • The divisions of forums/boards is a little inconsistent. There is also a shortage for a place for people to share/provide resources.
  • The board called 'the campfire' should not be put above the General Scouting boards. This forum is for scouting, therefore scouting boards/forums should be of higher placing than non-scouting boards/forums.
  • 'Scouting the Web' name should be changed as it contain grammatical errors.
  • I suggest different forums for sharing and discussions. Have a place where resources and knowledge is shared, and another where discussion is held. Having everything lumped together is confusing and will not encourage people to use the forum.
  • What exactly is 'Scouting around the World' for. The descriptions to some of the board is ambiguous and not very clear.
To sum it all up, its disorganised with too many forums.

Yours in Scouting & Guiding

Just noticed something else

The Scout Logo that appears in the header of the page is the logo of UK Scout Association. It is NOT the world scout logo. May need changing.

Also, people in this forum is looking updated information about scouting activities that is held in Malaysia. Examples include the date for woodbadge training, etc. Do you know anyone who has close contact with PPM?

I could volunteer for moderator, but I should tell you upfront that I can get quite busy with assignments sometimes so my performance won't be consistent.

As for WoodBadge training, it is considered unethical for PPM to give out the dates of WoodBadge courses for other states. Each course is tailored for the leaders in the state, from the number of participants, to details like who to go to if you need help, who your district/state council are, etc etc. It'd be a lot more helpful if you could get members from every state with connections to the State Training Team (Pasukan Latihan Negeri) who can provide the information, maybe in the state pages?

Hope this help, YiS
